San Francisco In Home Lifestyle Newborn Photos - Baby Finn

It has been such an honor to photograph the Wallace family over the years. Stephen and I were Jimmy and Renee’s wedding photographers and videographers several years ago. We took their first born Liam’s newborn photos and now they asked me again to document little Finn’s newborn photos. This family is so precious!

Little Liam is full of energy and immediately greeted me in their San Francisco home. Being a boy mom is so much fun and seeing Liam’s stage full of wonder made me excited for when Kaizen is his age.

My approach to newborn photography is to keep things natural and stress free. As a new mom or parent in any stage, it can feel a like a lot trying to get ready for photos. I try and always assure my families that since I have a lifestyle approach to photography, not every photo needs to be perfect or have everyone smiling looking at the camera. I of course get a few of those, but my intention is to capture the family in the most genuine way possible. If that’s having the toddler jumping on the bed or laughing trying to kiss mom, then let’s do that! This candid approach takes the pressure off my families and allows them to enjoy the moment and laugh through the session.
