As you walk through the gate into the garden studio, your heart and mind can unwind, knowing that this is a space of pure acceptance, joy and patience. Your time in the studio will be simple, relaxed and meaningful. No distractions, no rush, and no expectations.

When families come into my studio, my only hope is that they feel like they are being welcomed by a favorite family member who is elated by their presence. My greatest joy is capturing mothers, and fathers, as they are in the moment – leaving the hustle and bustle of life behind for that time with me. The weight of the world has dissipated, and this time is precious.
LOVE THE PROCESS
Families are beautiful just as they are. At the studio, families do not have to fret about angles, lighting or poses. I will walk you through every moment, going at your family’s pace. There is no rush – we will go at the speed in which your intimate family navigates life. Nursing breaks, running in the garden sessions for the active toddler and any other natural cadence is treasured. Your family can trust that moments you love will be captured beautifully, and you will love the process, too.

Especially in the most vulnerable moments; like when you’re uncomfortably pregnant, recovering from birth, or have a toddler who is energized beyond measure- she always knows how to handle the situation with patience and make you feel at ease. I love that Chelsey’s photos look natural, bright and airy- this makes her work SO timeless and we love displaying the images in our home. After moving to Chico from San Diego in 2018, I was nervous we wouldn’t find a photographer we loved, and Chelsey is more than we could have ever imagined- truly the best of the best!
