Motherhood Neutral Farmhouse Photography Session Chico

I am so excited to share with you this beautiful motherhood film photography session done at the Chandler Farmhouse here in Chico. The Chandler Farmhouse is a beautiful historic home in the orchards of Chico. This home has been kept up so well and the owners currently rent it out often on VRPO and for special events. It’s the perfect location for any photo session and I was so excited when Andrea the owner reached out to me for a collaboration. The home has beautiful natural light and so much charm and character everywhere you look. I first found out about the home from one of our TréCreative brides Elizabeth. It was the getting ready location and where we took the majority of their wedding day portraits. You can get a even more in depth look at the property from their photos :)

I wanted to capture a motherhood session and so my beautiful friend Mayela and her sweet baby boy agreed to be in front of my camera. As momma’s were often the ones behind the camera creating the moments on camera. I wanted to capture the connection and deep love us moms have for our babies.

My approach to photography is to always make my families feel comfortable and at ease. I want to capture the raw and tender moments a family has for one another. This might look like a cuddle on the couch together or silly faces between a baby and their parents. Whatever that is, I want my images to bring my families back to those precious moments to the feelings in the photo.
