Natural Light Newborn Photography Studio Chico - Hignell Family

I’m so excited to share with you Coleson’s newborn photos taken here in Chico in the newly finished studio.

Shea and Ryan are the incredible owners of North Rim CrossFit . Shea is also a super talented wedding photographer. They are a dynamic entrepreneur couple and I have always admired the way they cultivate community and work together as a team to make their businesses thrive!

Shea contacted me a few weeks after Coleson was born to set up a family session in the studio and I was thrilled. They specially wanted to use the studio for portraits and we had the best weather on their session date which always makes my photography heart happy!

Newborn sessions are some of my favorite. They are often slow paced going at baby’s cues and his needs first. Coleson was almost 6 weeks when these photos were taken and I loved getting to see his personality, smile at mom and dad and seeing his expressions throughout. Congrats Shea and Ryan, I’m so happy for you guys!
