I am thrilled to share with you the Jarvis family lifestyle session. Their home is beautiful and their neighborhood reminds me of something out of a movie! It’s a place where families sit out on their porches while kids play in the street with one another. What a beautiful picture of community sharing life with our neighbors.

For family lifestyle sessions, our goal is focus on connection and creating moments that are natural for the families we get to work with. We still will capture a few more traditional smiling “looking at the camera” photos, but that’s not the focus of these sessions. The focus is helping the family forget about the camera and letting candid moments come out. Our homes can be such intimate spaces and it was an honor to be invited into the Jarvis household.

For this session we did activities you can find the girls doing on a regular basis. You can often find Catherine and the girls dancing in the family room, or sitting on the couch together reading their favorite book. Pippa loves her dollhouse and Gabrielle is an incredible violin player.

While photographing the Jarvis family, we were so inspired by how Catherine and Louis have created a home filled with laughter and joy for their girls to grow up in. Imagination and creativity is encouraged and we know these two girls will grow up to be world changers because of it! We loved spending our morning with this family!
